The Taqwa Map Philosophy

Bismillah

I have been thinking about the Taqwa Map project and I realized that it might not have made sense to some people and they might not have realized what this entails.

The Taqwa Map is essential: “a method of extracting and finding wisdom”

This is how it works.

Patience——————————————–Intellect

How are these two related?

We take these two abstract concepts–they can be virtues or just plain old anything abstract and then contemplate on it or relate all the relevant material regarding the two concepts. It could be more than hadith or ayat–it could be poetry, quotes or even riddles. Now you have two bodies of conventional wisdom.

Then you see how they overlap–in other words, how one of them is a necessary requirement for the other. In doing this, you will create a third category of conventional wisdom. Keep in mind, this will not always work but it easily could.

“Genius is eternal patience” -Socrates

Now pause and think how this is true.
A person does not simply sit there and get ideas like water out of the lake–you have to wait for them. You have to think and dwell on them and Allah sends those ideas to you. Furthermore, a person cannot think properly when they are bogged down or worrying–it’s a biological fact that when a person is calm their mind works better.

This is just for starters…if you really stop and think you’ll pick up on more little gems.
If you have anything to add, post them in the comments.

Subhana kallahumma wa bihamdika ash-haduana la illaha illa ant astaghfiruka wa atubu ilayk, Ameen.
